Solar for Silverwood School

Later this summer, WWCE is launching a share offer to raise funds for a community solar array at Silverwood Special School in Rowde.

About the Share Offer:

The share offer seeks to raise funds for installing a 521kW community solar array on the roofs of three buildings at Silverwood Special School’s Rowde Campus near Devizes, Wiltshire. This solar array will be community-owned by WWCE.

The solar panels will not only generate green electricity for the school but also export surplus power to the local grid. Additionally, they are expected to generate £5,000 per year to support biodiversity and environmental education initiatives in partnership with the school.

The total capital needed for the Silverwood Solar Array and the cost of this Share Offer is £610,000.
